I stayed home today and tried to enjoy some time alone in the house.  I watched the Royal Wedding...I didn't get up at 4 to do that... that is way too early, and I am not that dedicated... but I watched the highlights of it after it was over.  It's terribly romantic!  I am such an avid reader of romance, I can see this easily making a great book!  After watching that I plugged in my head phones, cranked the old ipod up with my favorite tunes and enjoyed being in my own world while I cleaned my house from top to bottom.  The phone rang several times but I didn't hear it.  again... LOVE the ipod! lol  Now I have the weekend for fun stuff instead of household chores!  I talked to both kids on the phone... Tanner is excited about possibly getting a new truck and Katie wanted to know what degrees the oven went on to make a potato!  So nice to still be needed! :)  Then I went and picked up the boy from school.  Not that impressive of a day... but considering it is usually work and then theatre... today was a nice, quiet, productive day.

Happy Easter

This is another 1st for us in this house.  Our first Easter in Yukon.  Katie came over last night and stayed the night.  I let her sleep in and when she got up she did laundry, dyed some eggs and we watched a movie. I am greatful I don't have kids that are young enough to hunt eggs, because we have no place to hid them in our backyard this time.    But by the time we have little ones around again,  we will have some flower beds located around the hard with some trees and bushes and maybe a shed... that will make more hidding places for some eggs!

My Movie Stars!

Tanner and Katie were in a school movie that a fellow student made.  This is the trailer.  My daughter was the pink RoustaRanger and my son is one of the bad guys. :)  So proud!  Enjoy!!!!

Steel Magnolias

We officially got started on Monday this week with a read through, got through one practice and had to find a new "Annelle" and our Truvy is having back problems.  We got a new actress to play Annelle, ironically the orginal person I wanted to play that part to begin with.  So Truvy is going to rest her back and we are going to go full swing on Monday!  I am excited to direct this play, but the blocking is difficult!   I am lookinf forward to getting to know these wonderful ladies and becoming friends.  And I am so glad to be part of a theatre again.  Hoping to get the set design up and functionalbe before the next practice and have some props readily available for the actors.

Such Silliness...

These are my kids.  After she sings the song that he learned about 15 minutes before... they have some bloopers!  If you don't want to sit through the song, go to 3:35ish... that is where the bloopers start.
