I am not sure if I can handle Dennis when he retires. He is already doing stupid shit and this is just day 3 of his vacation.
Welcome to my cozy little Blog—a place where I unapologetically untangle my thoughts, parade my so-called wisdom, and occasionally drop nuggets of information you didn’t ask for. Insightful musings? Random ramblings? I’ll write, you decide.

Surgery Ahead
My sweet husband is going to have surgery on Tuesday on his left arm rotator cuff. I am a nervous wreck about it. He doesn't seem to have a care in the world. Although he did say out of the blue he was going to cancel it cause it didn't want to do it. :(
I don't like medical procedures or other people to be have that much power of my life. I took off work for the week, but I am sure I will be there from time to time. I just want to be available to Dennis should he need me. He acts like he will be fine and out doing yard work. I can hear his whines now though. It's better I cleared my calendar incase then be at work and him unable to care for himself with his one good arm.
Over the waiting.
It's taking too long and I am ready to have my back yard and patio back. This is where we live our life in the spring and summer. We have not been able to be out there YET and it's almost JUNE!
I can tell you one thing... I would never do this again! Not without a time frame and subs dedicated to that job within that time frame. I have learned alot during this process. This waiting for the weather and being pushed back on some list you never see, and waiting for one person to be available is for the birds! We pay too much money to be on an invisible list. We were to be opening our pool by Memorial weekend. That's next weekend.
Not gonna happen!
Beyond frustrating.
Hopefully getting the landscaping done will give me a new outlook... right now I'm over the waiting!
[They] are the ones that were previously working for minimum wage, have no training, jump from job to job, don't really want to work, but want a pay check. Probably have tons of write ups and can't ever seem to make it to work 5 days a week or on time. They love to do nothing.
The Government has been paying unemployment for people out of work because of the pandemic. Which was great because they were out of work and things where closed down. But they were paying more then [they] were use to making while working. So now that it's time to get back to work, [they] are refusing to work for less then $15.
The government really didn't think this through. These dead weights that had minimum wage jobs previously are now getting paid more for doing nothing, yet they were also the ones that were not staying home, but spreading the virus. They are the ones that were not investing money or saving it... but blowing it on stuff they couldn't afford when things went back to normal. A new car, moving into a place they can't afford, getting themselves more in debt instead of trying to use it to catch up and make positive changes. Do they really not understand that raising minimum wage will only increase all products and services? Then the $15 will be equivalent to $7.25 again. Kids should have to take Economics 101 instead of a foreign language. It might change some ways of thinking.
Governor Stitt is ending unemployment on June 26 to include the extra money each week, so a lot of people will have not choice but to get back in the real world and get a job and work for that paycheck. I can see a lot of moving, garage sales, repos happening. I predicted divorces from the pandemic and was straight on!
I know I was blessed to be able to provide for my community during this time. Oklahoma is ranked #3 for best economy, and that has everything to do with the essential workers that stayed on a sinking ship and worked. There wasn't incentive given to for us to do out jobs. We just did it. Now, the government is going to pay an incentive of $1200 for the first 20,000 that get off unemployment and get a job. How is that fair?
I am thankful I was a vital part and contributing factor to that ranking. I am proud that I stayed working and kept staff and parents taken care of. But what a slap in the face.
I hope the government took notes so if we ever have to go through another pandemic they handle it better.
