Father's Day 2020

The kids came for Fathers Day.  I love this day almost as much as Christmas anymore.  It is one day that all the family is together.  I love to see all my children and their children in one place.  I love to see the cousins get to play.  We made tacos and hung out in the out door living area while the kids played on the slide.  Watching them gives me as much joy as if I was the one playing on the blow up water slide!

My motto and words to live by

Where the Wind Takes Me

While the pandemic is ever present, I have tried to remain calm and continue forward.  I concentrated on the daycare a lot, mainly because when you go from 150+ kids a day to 60, you think... Oh shit!  Instead, I decided to spend the time regrouping.  I had just opened up the new building, hadn't even had the chance to open he last classroom yet, but it was still furnished and ready.  I felt like the rug had been pulled out from under me.  I decided instead of worrying about things I couldn't change, I would take care of the things I could.  Knowing that I would need to be prepared for new enrollments when this is all said and done, I did what I always have... rolled up my sleeves and went to work.

My accomplishments to date:

I got new carpet in two classrooms
Paid off my credit cards that consisted of toys for the new building
Paid myself
Paid off my insurance for the year
Wrapped the new van
Got a new sign
Bought new equipment and toys for 4 classrooms
Updated the phone system
Put in outside cameras
Updated the Lobby
Got new summer toys
Got a make shift snack shack
Made a virtual tour
Spruced up the lobby
Bought two new computers for the front desk
Got old computers ready for the school kids to use
Did a lot of added on necessities for the teachers.

I think at this point I am ready to sail for a while... and see where the wind takes me.
