I need me some bitches

I need to get back in touch with my girlfriends.  You know the ones you sit and talk to about something, or nothing, and then laugh about everything?! It has been forever since I have had true girlfriend time.  Now that I live closer to my old stomping grounds where some of my friends still live, it still seems so far away.  My very best friend lives 1 hour and 32 minutes from me door to door.  When you both are still raising kids in school and working that is a long stretch.   I think I am just not a traveler…  I know I’m not.  I hate to get in the car and go anywhere that isn’t up the street.  I get aggravated at Tanner because he is such a home body and won’t get out much… but I am the same way.  I wasn’t that way at his age though.  I pretty much was out all the time back then.  I miss the activities associated with friends, and especially the friends that knew you “back when”.  I hope to see them a couple of times this summer, and it would be extra nice if Dennis went with me.  He needs to get out too.  He is a bigger home body then I am!  But I think girlfriends are essential to a healthy lifestyle, even if they are 1 hour and 32 minutes from me.   In Guymon I had friends, but most of them were associated with work.  And I was the boss… so it was too awkward to hang out with them outside of the job.  Plus I was so much busier then with three kids in school and all the activities that took each child in a different direction at the same time.  I had other friends that I saw during certain times of the year or month… but that isn’t the same as shopping or hanging out at ones house. :)  My daughter was my little girlfriend for the past 22 years and I was fine with that.  Now she is at college and I always look forward to her coming home… but that is too much pressure on the poor girl.  So I am hoping to have some new girlfriends in my life this year.  Some that lives closer along with the ones that live far away.
